The official launch event will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at RushHour Karting’s Morrisville location, offering golf enthusiasts a chance to experience one of North Carolina’s most celebrated courses in a whole new way.

This virtual adaptation brings the course to a worldwide audience while giving local golfers an opportunity to practice its signature challenges before visiting the real course in Sanford.

With this debut, Tobacco Road joins GOLFZON’s expanding collection of 269 virtual courses across 41 countries, solidifying its place among the world’s most iconic golf destinations. GOLFZON’s state-of-the-art simulator precisely replicates the course’s dramatic terrain, originally crafted by legendary designer Mike Strantz from a reclaimed sand quarry in 1998.
The partnership arrives during a period of rapid growth in off-course golf participation, which rose 2.5% from 2022 to 2023, according to the National Golf Foundation. GOLFZON has been a driving force in that trend, with over 6.1 million users engaging with its platform in 2024 alone.
